Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
