Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
