Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And those that strike violently, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 separating one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 Till an appointed term, 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 The living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
