In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
