Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
