Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
