Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
