Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 As justification or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
