Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 as black camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
