Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 and place it in a secure place 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
