Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known extent. 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
