Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 "Go to what you used to deny; 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for an appointed term? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
