Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
