Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed term? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
