Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 To the day of decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 until an appointed time? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
