Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 separating one from another, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
