Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
