Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a known term? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 The living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
