Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
