The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Of what ask they? 1 Concerning the Great News, 2 About which they have been differing? 3 By no means! anon they shall know. 4 again, no indeed; soon will they come to know. 5 Did We not make the earth a spreading, 6 and the mountains as pegs (to anchor the earth)? 7 And We have created you in pairs, 8 And made your sleep a rest. 9 and made the night a covering, 10 and We made the day for a livelihood. 11 And We have built above you seven strong ones, 12 and We have set therein a glowing lamp. 13 and sent down abundant water from the clouds 14 So that We bring forth thereby corn and vegetation. 15 And gardens dense and luxuriant. 16 Verily, the Day of Decision is a fixed time, 17 The day when the Trumpet will be blown – you will therefore come forth in multitudes. 18 And the heaven is opened and will become gateways 19 and the mountains are set in motion, and become a vapour. 20 Behold, Gehenna has become an ambush, 21 A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.), 22 therein to tarry for ages, 23 Finding neither sleep nor any thing to drink 24 except boiling water and pus 25 as a fitting recompense for their deeds. 26 For indeed they did not look forward to any reckoning, 27 and persistently rejected Our revelations. 28 but We have recorded everything in a Book. 29 So taste you (the results of your evil actions); no increase shall We give you, except in torment. 30

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
