The News (Al-Naba')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Concerning what are they disputing? 1 Concerning the Great News, 2 concerning which they have disputes. 3 No! They are going to know. 4 They will indeed come to know soon. 5 Have We not made the earth a resting place? 6 And the high hills bulwarks? 7 and created you in pairs (as men and women), 8 and gave you repose in sleep, 9 and made the night [its] cloak 10 And We have made the day for seeking livelihood. 11 And We built above you seven strong ones, 12 (the sun) as a shining torch 13 And then sent down hard rain from the water bearing clouds. 14 so that We may thereby bring forth grain and vegetation, 15 and gardens dense with foliage? 16 Surely a time is fixed for the Day of Judgement. 17 the Day that the Horn is blown, and you shall come in crowds 18 and heaven is opened, and become gates, 19 And the mountains shall be moved away from their places and they will be as if they were a mirage. 20 Hell will lie in wait (for its prey). 21 A place of resort for the inordinate, 22 They will dwell therein for ages. 23 Therein taste they neither coolness nor (any) drink 24 save boiling water and a stinking fluid -- 25 for a suitable recompense. 26 For that they used not to fear any account (for their deeds), 27 And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial. 28 Everything have We recorded in a Book. 29 So taste you (the results of your evil actions); no increase shall We give you, except in torment. 30
