In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ What are they asking each other about? 1 About the awesome tiding [of resurrection,] 2 concerning which they have disputes. 3 Indeed, they shall know! 4 Nay! Nay! they shall soon know. 5 Have We not made the earth as a place to rest 6 and fixed the mountains like pegs, 7 and created you in pairs (as men and women), 8 And made your sleep [a means for] rest 9 And made the night as clothing 10 And have appointed the day for livelihood. 11 And We made above you seven strong ones, 12 And We made a shining lamp, 13 and have sent down from the clouds, pouring rain 14 In order to produce grain and plants with it. 15 and gardens dense with foliage? 16 Surely, the Day of Judgement has an appointed time. 17 It is a Day whereon the trumpet will be blown, and ye will come in multitudes. 18 And the heaven will be opened – it therefore becomes like gates. 19 And the mountains are removed and will be [but] a mirage. 20 Verily the Hell is an ambuscade: 21 A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.), 22 Where they will remain for aeons, 23 Finding neither sleep nor any thing to drink 24 Except boiling water, and dirty wound discharges. 25 Reward proportioned (to their evil deeds). 26 Behold, they were not expecting to be called to account, 27 and persistently rejected Our revelations. 28 And all things have We preserved on record. 29 [And so We shall say:] "Taste, then, [the fruit of your evil doings,] for now We shall bestow on you nothing but more and more suffering!" 30
