The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 and by those who regulate events. 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 then he mustered 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 In this, behold, there is a lesson indeed for all who stand in awe [of God]. 26
