The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 By the angels hastening, 4 And those who govern the event, 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 to be followed by further [convulsions]! 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 Then [Musa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles). 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
