The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 and say [unto him,] 'Art thou desirous of attaining to purity? 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
