The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who dive and drag, 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
