46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 and say [unto him,] 'Art thou desirous of attaining to purity? 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 Then [Musa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles). 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 Then he quickly turned his back. 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 you pay attention 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
