The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 and gently take it away; 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
