The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 and those that blow gently, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; 22 then he mustered 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 you pay attention 25 In this, behold, there is a lesson indeed for all who stand in awe [of God]. 26
