The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 And thereupon God took him to task, [and made him] a warning example in the life to come as well as in this world. 25 In this, behold, there is a lesson indeed for all who stand in awe [of God]. 26
