The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And by those who float in space, 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 [And yet,] some say: "What! Are we indeed to be restored to our former state 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 And thereupon he [went to Pharaoh and] made him aware of the great wonder [of God's grace]. 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
