The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
