The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), 6 And the second followeth it, 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]? 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 you pay attention 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
