The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 to be followed by further [convulsions], 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 And lo! they will be awakened. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
