The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 to be followed by further [convulsions]! 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
