The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 And assembled and proclaimed, 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
