46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 By the meteors rushing, 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 And those who govern the event, 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment. 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 you pay attention 25 In this, behold, there is a lesson indeed for all who stand in awe [of God]. 26
