The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 and those that blow gently, 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 By the angels hastening, 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 and gathered his people together 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 you pay attention 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
