The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 and by those who regulate events. 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say: "Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life? 10 even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 Has there reached you the story of Moses? - 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 But [Pharaoh] gave him the lie and rebelliously rejected [all guidance,] 21 and hastily turned away, 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
