The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 [If so,] then I shall guide thee towards [a cognition of] thy Sustainer, so that [henceforth] thou wilt stand in awe [of Him].'" 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 and hastily turned away, 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
