The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say: "Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life? 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
