The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 And who glide with ease. 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. 14 Has there reached you the story of Moses? - 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
