The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 and by those who regulate events. 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 But it shall be only a single cry, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 then he mustered 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
