The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 By the angels hastening, 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
