The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 [HENCE, think of] the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world,] 6 And the second followeth it, 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 [And yet,] some say: "What! Are we indeed to be restored to our former state 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 And lo! they will be awakened. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 But [Pharaoh] gave him the lie and rebelliously rejected [all guidance,] 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
