The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I swear by the angels who violently pull out the souls of the wicked, 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 to be followed by further [convulsions], 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 then he mustered 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
