The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 Followed by oft-repeated (commotions): 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]? 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 Then he quickly turned his back. 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
