(People), is your creation harder for God than that of the heavens, which He created, raised and established 27 Raised it high, proportioned it, 28 and covered its night with darkness and brought forth from it its day; 29 And after that He spread the earth, 30 He brought forth from it its water and its pasturage. 31 And the mountains He set firm 32 [all this] as a means of livelihood for you and your animals. 33 When the great calamity comes, 34 The day on which man shall recollect what he strove after, 35 and Hell is advanced for whoever sees, 36 Then, as for him who rebelled 37 And prefers the life of this world, 38 Then indeed hell only is his destination. 39 But unto him who shall have stood in fear of his Sustainer's Presence, and held back his inner self from base desires, 40 Will surely have Paradise for abode. 41 They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time? 42 About what! You are one to remind of it. 43 With thy Lord is the Limit fixed therefore. 44 Thou art only the warner of him who fears it. 45 It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof. 46
