Are you more difficult to create, or is the heaven that He constructed? 27 by raising its vault high and fashioning it flawlessly, 28 And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness. 29 And after that He spread the earth, 30 therefrom brought forth its waters and its pastures, 31 and making the mountains firm: 32 an enjoyment for you and your herds. 33 But when the great disaster cometh, 34 The day when man will call to mind his (whole) endeavour, 35 and Hell is advanced for whoever sees, 36 then as for whosoever was insolent 37 And chose the life of the world, 38 Lo! hell will be his home. 39 But he who feared to stand before his Lord, and restrained himself from evil desires, 40 most surely his abode shall be Paradise. 41 They ask you about the Hour: “When will it be?” 42 [But] how couldst thou tell anything about it, 43 Unto thy Lord belongeth (knowledge of) the term thereof. 44 you are but a warner for those who fear it. 45 On the Day when they behold it, [it will seem to them] as if they had tarried [in this world] no longer than one evening or [one night, ending with] its morn! 46
