Al-Naze'aat 2 of 2
What, are you stronger in constitution or the heaven He built? 27 He hath raised the height thereof and perfected it. 28 And He made dark the night thereof, and He brought forth the morn thereof. 29 And after that He spread the earth; 30 And from it produced its water and its pasture. 31 And stabilized the mountains 32 As provision for you and your grazing livestock. 33 But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity - 34 The day on which man shall recollect what he strove after, 35 and Hell will be brought in sight for anyone to see: 36 Then, for such as had transgressed all bounds, 37 And preferred the worldly life, 38 Will surely have Hell for his abode. 39 But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination, 40 surely Paradise shall be the refuge. 41 They question thee of the Hour: when will its arrival be? 42 Why (ask they)? What hast thou to tell thereof? 43 Unto thy Lord belongeth (knowledge of) the term thereof. 44 Thou art only the warner of him who fears it. 45 On the Day whereon they behold it, it will appear to them as though they had not tarried save an evening or the morn thereof. 46

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
